What's this to do with West Ham?
Put down something.

Someone else has to say what it's got to do with West Ham, and put down something else to be connected to our great club.

I'll start

Vampires

Brady, Gold and Sullivan are vampires - sucking the lifeblood out the club.

Bill Oddie.

The Vamp Nou is one of the most intimidating grounds to visit in Amateur Football.

We lost that connection with the move to the OS.

Yep - our first ever league game at our old old old old and first ground - Hermit Road - was against Crouch End Vampires.

We (well, Thames Ironworks) won 3-0

James Corden, a big Hammers fan, starred in the Lesbian Vampire Killers movie with Matthew Horne. Made off the back of Gavin and Stacey fame but was poor.

I played against Crouch End Vampires a fair few times when I turned out for Old Parkonians in the 90s and 00s. We had a midweek game at theirs in late April one year and it snowed for the whole game. The middle of the pitch was a lake while the wings were under two inches of snow. Our keeper forgot his boots and had to play in a pair of black brogues.

We lost 3-0. Would have been at least one more if one of their shots hadn't come to a halt in a puddle on the goal line.

Midweek games are quite unusual in the Southern Amateur League and so Crouch End weren't very prepared to be hosts. The complete absence of hot water and food after the game did not go down well.

CEV were certainly the most unpopular team in the league back then and generally went by the moniker Crouch End Cheats.

Vampires.

Bill Oddie's daughter played Frances Kray in the original Kray Twins movie.

The Kray twins are from the East End. As is West Ham United.

OK, I'll pick next - the Central Asian country of Tajikistan.

Easy - Dilshod Nazarov won Tajikistan's first gold medal at the Olympic Stadium.

And it was in the Hammer, to boot.
